Have a few meals that are high in saturated fat and the brain will stop responding to Leptin system and this is the portion of  the brain that controls the  body weight and reproductive system.  When you eat Junk food over a long period of time, the hormonal system re-configures and wants to store more fat.When a child gets into the habit of eating Junk food then the body adapts and re-configures the body chemistry allowing for bad food choices for the rest of the child’s  life.It is extremely hard for us to ignore Junk food as everywhere we go it is in our faces,  and not only that it often offers a cheap and convenient alternative to shopping and cooking.

Junk Food results in Obesity

Obesity is more often than not the result of poor diet and is totally debilitating as it results in risky health conditions and may result in death.  Junk Food in nature contains massive amounts of sugar, colorants, preservatives, saturated fats and additives, these are not substances that offer the body the nutrients it needs in order to be efficient.

The maths is easy if you eat this sort of food in abundance and do no exercise, added to that you have a sedentary job, then the likelihood of weight gain is huge. The only way to maintain a healthy body weight is eat the right foods and to exercise regularly. The food needs to be burned otherwise it is stored as fat and fat compounds resulting in obesity and associated illnesses.
